This piece was inspired by an experience I had diving with reef sharks. Towards the end of this dive, I unexpectedly encountered a Tiger Shark. What I found most striking was the pattern along its body as well as the deep azure blue of the ocean as the backdrop. The experience was daunting but left me with a renewed sense of connection with the environment and appreciation for marine life. The movement of the creature also mirrored something prehistoric, and ancient. Below is my first project in Houdini, an abstract representation of the shark.
This incorporates my skills in Abstract Design, Lighting and MaterialX/Solaris workflows using Houdini.
